Inclusion and Belonging Purpose Statement

Central to our school’s mission is the commitment to providing an exceptional academic program that is welcoming, respectful, and inclusive. Through our outreach initiatives in the community and our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), we seek to prepare students for a diverse world through empathy, kindness, and respect.

As we honor and learn from the many forms of diversity at All Saints, we work together to uphold the values of our school community. We expect our students and families to demonstrate empathy and respect and to affirm the inherent worth of each individual in our community. In doing so, we celebrate differences and commonalities alike, inspiring lives of gratitude and service.

Fundamental to our identity as an Episcopal school is the sincere belief that all are welcome. What this means is that outreach and inclusion are not just “add ons” but are core parts of who we are. Since our founding in 1961, the spirit of service and DEI has been embedded in our mission and is inextricably linked with everything we do.

As we strive to raise global citizens and future leaders, it is important that we recognize our shared responsibility to expand students’ horizons beyond the walls of our classrooms. We aspire to make acts of service a daily call to action, and we stand with other community organizations that are working towards positive change in Monterey County and beyond.
