6TH graders enjoyed an overnight trip to Camp Ocean Pines

Our 6th graders had an incredible time at Camp Ocean Pines, where they combined adventure, science, and community building! From hands-on science activities like tide pooling and dissecting a squid to spotting wildlife like sea lions and mule deer and kayaking in Morro Bay, the trip was full of excitement. They even got to hold a snake and learn up close from an owl demonstration!

In the evenings, they bonded while making s’mores, watching the sunset, dancing, performing skits, and enjoying time together around the campfire.

Nestled on the coastal bluffs of Cambria, CA—on the unceded land of the Salinan and Northern Chumash tribes—students explored one of the few native Monterey pine forests, connecting with nature while also building social and emotional skills.

It was a fabulous adventure!
